Midwest BioGas’ investigating has shown Martin County is one of the best locations in the nation for a bioenergy park, with its Three fat Grain-processing Facilities, many confined organism feeding units, and Region 9’s long to Promote economic maturity in southern Minnesota. “It’s been in the planning Stages for the former year, and it was this spring that we really launched the plans and started current public,” said Nancy Pehling of Midwest BioGas. Other Reasons - such as pivotal infrastructure and additional obtainable feedstock - have fatigued the company’s limelight to Welcome.
The bioenergy reserve would be the First of several to be developed by Midwest BioGas throughout the country. The mill would be built in five phases over the next five to Seven years. The parks would manufacture renewable dash for electricity and unembellished gas by using Anaerobic Digestion and combustion technology. Manure from hogs and chickens, along with visceral litter from hydroponic greenhouses and corn stover, could be processed to devise renewable gases. The corn stover also can be processed through a fluidized bed combustion to originate electricity, and ashes from it can be worn for fertilizer.
