Dennis Kearns is eager for Mardi Gras tomorrow at Woody’s Diner in Royal Oak. Downtown Royal Oak transforms into Oakland County’s view of New Orleans tonight. “People will be wearing Mardi Gras costumes and masks,” said Bob Morton, who co-owns Lily’s Seafood Grill with his chum Scott Morton in Royal Oak. “They’ll have on Beads,” he said. “It’s very festive.
” Mardi Gras - French for Fat Tuesday, the age before Lent begins - traditionally has been a Broad daylight of merrymaking and partying. Bill Thomas, one of the owners of Royal Oak-Based Pronto, calls the annual Mardi Gras Festival a “mini-version of Bourbon Street without the parade.” The Royal Oak Restaurant Association sponsors the event, now in its fourth year. This year, guests’ $15 alms will Promote the Royal Oak Animal Shelter. The recreation begins at 5:30 p.m. Guests must give Birth to their dusk by checking in at Woody’s Diner at 208 West Fifth Street.

Having completed a Complete mature of USAs Royal Pains, Mark Feuerstein has gotten unreservedly fine at pretending to be a Doctor. Medical parlance rolls off his tongue and hes fully versed now in the nuances of handling Surgical instruments. Which got us to wondering: If we put Feuerstein in scrubs, gave him a stethoscope and Dropped him off at a Hospital, how lengthy could he sit as a adulterate before being found out as a fraud? I deem I could go, like, six minutes, Feuerstein says. Maybe 10. Maybe 15 if theyre in fact feather-brained over at the Hospital. Then the actor – who plays Hank Lawson, Doctor-for-hire to the rich, well-known and opprobrious in the story-book Hamptons - gets a alert idea.
